In 1992 I went to Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. I attended Bass Institute of Technology. Shortly after graduating MI, I was able to secure an internship with renowned record producer/songwriter Rick Nowels. The internship was only for a couple of months, but was well worth the knowledge I gained from him.
I worked as a bass player for many years, playing in many bands, and backing singer/songwriters in Nashville, TN. In 2007 I moved to Austin, TX. to be around a vibrant live music area. Several years into living here I decided that I really wanted to get back to what I learned with Rick Nowels and get behind the mixing board. I wanted to learn how to record music artists in the recording studio.
While attending Austin Community College Music Business, Performance, and Technology I have gained much knowledge, recording several acts along the way-The Fledglings and The Irons to name a couple. Recently before graduating I interned at Windy Hill Studios in Austin. It is a world class studio to work and record at. There are studios that I would love to record artists in and around Austin. Currently also working as a stage hand setting up audio, video, and lighting for concerts and events.
